It is easily possible. I have averaged close to 20mpg for the first 8000 miles driving some highway and some commuter traffic. For individual trips I have come very close to the 23mpg.

You claim to have a 4.4 so how can you comment on someone else's driving of their 3.0? Oh that's right, you are 16 and know everything about and own every car and SUV made.

23 MPG... noooo waaaay! If you drove a flat 840mls with no traffic.. you might be lucky and get 18-19 (X5 is really bad on gas!) and thats high.... but we all know you didnt run flat and any where you go... there is no way you wont run into mountains in 840 miles and that eats up more gas.. lol not to bash you but there is no way you got 23MPG!

P.S. My first trip in my X5 was awsome and I went up to the mountains near Sacramento valley. ^_^
