Runs great in snow. Engine, transmission etc. great. Other than that I agree with it being junk. Pieces fall off; doors don't fit and never had. rattles etc.
However, I just saw a 2001 at a show and the fit seems much better. Door closing actually sounds like a Mercedes.
I wouldn't take the risk until a new design. I can't wait until my lease is up and it is gone, but meanwhile I'll get anywhere this winter
