Topaz Blue with grey Montana leather is what I have.
1. I had a 3-series and the leather was nicer to the touch than in my X5; in the summer I also drive a Miata with leather seats - and the feel is much more luxurious than my X5 - I expected at least as good as my old 325 or my Miata...
2. While in for service, I has a loaner X5 with leatherette and it looked and felt just as nice as my leather on my X5
3. My wife drives a Volvo with heated leather seats, and again the feel and touch is heads and shoulders above my X5.

I do not think I got my money's worth, that's my point.
