audio upgrade for x5 non premium sound ? (archive)

hi

is it possible to run the entire system of the audio on a seperate head unit ? cause i am a fan of sound quality...even though if i am ordering the premium sound, i don't think i will be satisfied with that...and also the output voltage of the standard head unit is very low, isn't it ? that's why is it possible to run the entire system on a seperate head unit ? i can't move the standard head cause i've got the sat nav.. does anybody ever done this before ? do u have the pic ?????
