Sure leatherette looks good compared to montana leather at first..
Leatherette sofas look great in the showroom as well. But as time goes by the Leatherette will deteriorate fast and the quality will as well.
After a year or so goes by you will appreciate the choice of real leather.

It is the durability issue that should be addressed when disussing leather vs leatherette
