I also own an e36 that has leatherette. Looked great when I purchased it, thought there is not much difference between it and the genuine leather. Maybe 2-3 years went by and it looks very cheap and feels stiff. My cousin who has same vehicle with leather is nice and soft.. eventhough the car is a 2 years older.
