The lease for my loaded X works out to a total of approximately $27K for the 3yrs @15K/yr. With less cash out of my pocket, I can invest my money in things that actually appreciate in value since cars do not. Now when factoring resale value in, had I purchased the X based on a 68% residual, my total out of pocket expense would be somewhere around $20K. So in the end, the leased vehicle costs an additional $7K, but I should be able to make that difference back easily with my investments.

It all comes down to preferences. In my case, leasing allows me to buy more of a vehicle than traditional financing. So much so that I ended up leasing a new 528i sport the week prior to taking delivery of the X.

As for age and occupation, I thought we did this a few days ago.....
Age = 29
Occupation = Programmer Analyst.

As an attorney who has had several leasing cases, I would never lease. You are at the mercy of the dealer's definition of "normal wear" on the vehicle. I have had clients charged a premium for what they considered standard wear and tear. It ended up costing them legal fees, etc. even though they won. So, buy it outright if you can afford to.
