I was given a Durango (also very low miles) as a loaner when I took my Discovery in for a scheduled service. I was very disapointed. I actually expected more from it. It had a horrible ride and felt like I was driving a Taurus Waggon. I don't understand why they have leaf rear springs with IFS up front. I thought that if nothing else the long wheel base would give it a better ride than the short wheel base on the Discovery. The Disco beats the Durango hands down when driving on road and I would imagine off road too since the Durango has IFS where the Disco has a coil sprung live axle but I didn't try it. The X5 would KILL the Durango in on-road performance. I hope I don't offend anyone but -- What a POS! Ergonomics was not part of the Durango design plan either.
