If your garage door opener uses rolling codes you have to do the programming at home. Most of the newer (>1997 I think) openers have this feature. Our dealer gave us a page of additional instructions (only one additional step actually) to deal with this. My son and I did both doors in about 10 minutes. It's easiest with two people. One presses the opener button in the car while the other presses the "learn" button on the actual garage door opener mechanism (The thingee that hangs from the ceiling, not the remote).
