Just put in my order for a 3.0 X5. I would have loved the 4.4 but the cost is a bit steep right now. My sister has a 3.0 as well so I've extensively driven it. I got the sport package and I like the handling and looks of the wheels. I test drove one and the thing that surprised me was that the exhaust was musch louder. Some may even consider it annoying. Dealer said this is part of the package. Anyone experience this?

I haven't noticed it being very loud. And, IMHO, the 3.0 has plenty of power. I just got rid of a V8 and with my manual X5, the power is great. I could have bought either, but decided on the 6.
