It is not a replacement or extension for the warranty, which is already 48 months. It is a continuation of the "routine" maintenance and non-warranty service, which covers everything -- wiper blades, exhaust, brakes, oil, battery, belts and other things not covered by the warranty. The tires are about the only thing not covered, as I recall.

You can buy it any time until the 3 year factory service expires. You buy it only from your dealer and BMW.
