Hard Acceleration Issues (archive)

I like to accelerate at the vehicle maximum sometimes (several times a week or more because I like the power of the 4.4). I have not used any oil, and have 2400 miles. I broke the car in exactly as specified, and have gradually increased my "fun" driving to this point. I have noticed some problems.

Rapid acceleration causes substantial smoke from the exhaust. I have BMW chrome quad exhaust tips, and they are black on the ends and it won't come off. Chrome cleaner results in a very sooty rag, but doesn't remove all of the black.

Also, when I release the throttle fully under full acceleration, the car continues at full throttle for a second or two, making unintended braking necessary and harder to control going into curves, etc.

I am going to have the dealer look into these issues at the next service. Am I the only one who has these problems?
