Some questions for folks:

I have heard that the map refresh is slow. Comments?

The map refresh is very slow if you are accustomed to a system running off a hard disk instead of a CD. I have such a hard disk system in my Acura although Acura has now gone to a DVD. The BMW system also doesn't refresh until the vehicle is at the very edge of the display which often makes it hard to tell what is just a short distance ahead without forcing the system to refresh, which again takes time for it to do. Can be a hassle in traffic at highway speeds. I am disappointed in the BMW nav system for several reasons, but probably only because I was used to a far superior system.
