There have been a lot of conflicting 0-60 times posted by different magazines ranging from 6.7 sec to 7.5 sec.In an effort to help substantiate the truth I finally got around to running a couple of tests with my G-tech Pro and was actually a little surprised with the results. The first run netted a 6.86 and the second a 6.68 0-60 time. My past experience with other vehicles is that initial test runs are usually up to a full second off of where I think I should be. By working on different launch methods I can typically improve my number. If this holds true then I believe the X5 in stock trim is capable of at least a 6.5.

I realize most X5 owners may not care, but for those that do I hope this information provides insight, especially if you happen to get lined-up against an ML55 at a stoplight.

Mileage: 4,000
Temp: 48 F
Trans: DS

I would also be interested in knowing if anyone with the DINAN software has done any G-tech testing??
My local BMW tuner shop has indicated that they have been told by their Dinan rep that a supercharger kit is slated for 2001. Considering that most of the hardware already exist for the 540i I would have to guess that this would be a fairly easy task.
