My 2002tii, 525i and 328is are all German sourced, about 85% for the E36, as I remember. The last two were bought new, and the X5 has not had any more problems than they did.

What's your point? That I should buy a G-Wagen instead, because its German-sourced, except for the US required changes?
German factories do not offer a similar vehicle, so I made my choice, paid my money, and I have little regret.

MBZ discounting the M-Class? It says nothing about the E53 future...that theory is a pure fallacy of logic.

TAKE A LOOK AT THE SUB CONTRACTORS WHO SUPPLY S. CAROLINA.
NOTHING IS LIKE A PURE GERMAN CAR/MADE IN GERMANY PERIOD.
ALSO WHATS WITH THE RPM's AT 75 MPH? MY 540 IS COASTING AT 2750 RPM.
LAST TIME I LOOKED AMERICANS LOVE TO CRUISE AT 75.
