for some reason, the idea of *ANY* station wagon (BMW, MB, etc) makes me cringe and reminds me of Chevy Chase's Vacation series movies....

get a life..... don't buy or knock the X5 (and other) american-build products.... they strengthen our economy, and granted they are not pure 100% german, they are still superior to all other cars...

besides, i would not be surprised if over then next decade, BMW moves its US-intended model(s) production to the US..... it makes sense for economic and political reasons.....
