My climate control works perfect! I have mine set for 68 and it holds it exactly. The only adjustment I use is the wheel between the main dash vents to adjust hotter or colder air blowing at my upper body area - this depends on how I am dressed or the sun shining etc. I would have the dealer check your system if it does not seem to be working correctly. Every BMW I have owned has worked flawlessly - as far as the climate system goes.

This is the way to work with it. Choose a temperature and let the system work. The newer systems have a "sun sensor" to registrate direct "sunshine " on the dashboard to avoid the unpleasant feeling of "warm air" together with hot sunshining in some month of the year.

Have you ever noticed the "rest" button? Delivering warm air while filling up or going shopping (for 20minutes)?

BMW debated a long time, if the A/C compressor should start automatically or should be started manually. They decided to do it manually. The point was, that in these times you can choose a temperature you like and add A/C kompressor for the first 2-5 minutes to keep clear the windows.
