I have a 3.0 Sport on order for February build. I've just been told that due to a problem with the built-in mobile phone, all January and February builds will be equipped with a cordless car phone rather than a mobile. The dealer didn't know whether this was a temporary solution pending a later retro-fit. I've said that this is an unacceptable alternative for me, because it involves me taking out an additional phone number and line rental, and it just wouldn't be practical to swap SIMs every time I use the car. Right now I intend to delay to a later build unless I can get a satisfactory answer.
Has anyone else heard about this and can shed any more light? Hopefully it means that the X5 will be getting a decent phone option at last?
