New Nav system is supposedly much faster and is 16:9 format rather than the previous smaller screen. That's all I know offhand

We wanted the new nav system in the X5 we ordered and our dealer said we would get it, based on our January build date. I called the dealer today to verify that it was still the case, and he said he needs to check with the plant. Can anyone tell me what the differences are between the old and new system (other than size)? Does the original system have problems we need to be aware of?
