Actually, it is possible for a significant other to follow those rules; just find one who as is neurotic about cleanliness in the car as you are. I happen to be so "lucky". We have an X5 on order for my wife, and she claims that she is going to make me take off my shoes before she lets me in. Hmmm. And she called me nuts when I made her put the fried clams in the trunk.
