2. Auto lights on at night. We all forget to turn the lights off and walk away only to notice the
lights are still on.
3. No next song or previous song feature on tape.
(Song search)
4. The back seat does not recline (low priority)
5. Where is my missing flashlight and triangle? :)
6. A separate set of snow tires and wheels for all with sport packages. ;)
7. And last, we just spent close to 50-60K and we get one nav CD. Hell/... at that money they should include all 7 of those.
BMW if you are listening, please do something about that damn repeat function on CD. :)

In the software world whence I come, user interfaces often undergo rigorous testing. I wonder if BMW did the same. Witness:
* Heated switches always start "off", ignoring the last setting. Annoying to have to keep setting these every morning.
* Interval wiper mode always starts "off" (!!) ignoring the last setting. This is particular egregious since if they did it right it would be the ideal "auto wiper" setting - never touch it.
* Headlights don't turn off with the power.
Why is is Volvo can get this right but BMW can't?
Other UI flaws have more to do with materials and execution than concept:
* the tailgate button that often catches
* the cargo cover that is hard to open and close
* the two cupholders that can't hold anything larger than two cans of soda. Oh and the cupholder cover is also hard to open.
Finally there are those that are just missing features
* I think it's Mickey who is ready to commit homicide over the missing "repeat" function on the CD player.
I'm curious what other peoples' nits are.
