Passenger wiper hinge is in the wrong place. They expect you to partially wipe a dry windshield to move the wiper in place so it can be lifted?! I suppose if you love scratched glass, it's the thing to do.
Would be nice if the dashboard vent controls and center dash heat/cool knobs were lit.
Would be splendid if folks who knew actually what they were doing designed the nav system. (OK, maybe that's not just a nit.)
Would be helpful if the rear seats folded flat.
Steering wheel needs more fore and aft travel.
Rear doors should open and close with less than the force of a jack hammer.
Headrests should tilt forward more.
Passenger seat should have same adjustments as driver seat -- and memory, damn it!
No nets behind passenger seats? Can't believe it.
(Gee, I'm getting carried away.)
Steering wheel (sport model) should be softer and grippier. (Spelling?)
Yeah, those cup holders in front are too small. (Neat ones in the back.)
Would prefer a hatch instead of a clam-shell in back.
Why doesn't X5 have wonderful "door ajar" graphic as my 3-Series loaners?
Door storage compartments should have hinged lids, like Benz. (Keeps things neater looking.)
Don't know if this is a nit, but: Roadside assistance should be roadside assistance, not just a tow. And the folks who answer the phone should be technically expert, not just operators. (All of this like Benz.)
And finally, because that's all I can think of now, free ear stoppels should be supplied for wind noise at driver's window. Would be handy if they hung from grab handles by coil cords, or pulled out from a rattle-free retractor from the roof.
But it does drive great!!
In Benzes, the stereo system remembers your tone settings by mode: FM,AM, CD, Tape. Nice.
Car needs a built-in, pop-up wind deflector, also like Benz, so sunroof can be open without buffeting.
