Speed sensitive radio volume (archive)

Saw a recent post about accessing the "radio maintainence mode" to adjust the speed sensitive radio volume. I've got a 4.4 with NAV, but standard sound system. The previous poster's instructions to hold the "m" button doesn't work with the NAV. Anybody got advice? I'd really like to invoke that feature! Thanks in advance.
