Hey Digi,

I'm glad somebody asked the initial question in this thread. I have a 3.0 X5 without Premium sound, and currently the stereo sound doesn't increase when I drive faster (freeway) or decrease after slowing down. However, when I tested a 3-Series last year, it did have that functionality.

Based on what you know, is my X5 non-premium stereo supposed to adjust based on speed or not? I definitely want that functionality if it's possible!

If your radio is not working properly, let the dealer fix it. I went into this mode, and it has many settings, none of which are understandable (2 letters for the modes -- there are many, and other letters and numbers for settings). Without the legend, you could screw up more than your radio settings, and that would cost you money to have it corrected.
