forget the handling forget the sport package because the X5 is after all a truck and it won't handle like a sports car. Honda civic SI outhandles X5 4.4 sport, i test drove both cars on belmont racetrack here in NY. you can't ignore center of gravity and weight of X5s.
get 3.0 nonsport, it's the most comfortable X5. my X5 3.0 handles fine and rides fine, X5 4.4 sport handles great but rides terribly.


I just keep hearing about the 4.4 sport riding a bit stiffer and bumpier and I didn't know if the 3.0 sport had the same ride.

Hey yo, I've driven both the X5 3.0 and the
X5 4.4 at the Performance Center in South Carolina and to tell the truth, both handled like a dream. The only difference that I did notice though is the obvious... that the 4.4 has more balls to get moving. I personally was quite impressed with the handling of both vehicles... but thats just my opinion.
