Anyone have word on when an extended wheel-base X5 will be out? I assume it will have 7-passenger seating. I need more than 5 seats, and am not excited about my minivan and American-made SUV options.
Thanks for the help.

Talked to a factory rep. last Nov. when I was ordering my X5. He unequivocally stated that no new platforms could possibly enter production for at least 24 mo.(engines are not platforms). If you really need 7 seats then the X5 is not for you, but if you can manage to do with 5 seats, the fun-to-drive aspect and the safety factor makes the X5,IMHO, by far the 1st choice for an all weather vehicle.
