I know exactly how you feel. My girl and I live in Hayward and we had dinner last night in San Jose at House of Genji. We had to cut dinner short and drove to Modesto for a family emergency at about 8:30pm.
Let me tell you, I have a silver 3.0 and it hauls. I opened her up near Tracy and was racing a Mustang (V6). The Mustang got away in traffic but I did hit 120 on the speedo with 4 people in the car. No one but myself and the front passenger, who was looking at the speedo knew I was driving that fast. The X5 is the most solid SUV/SAV I've driven and nothing comes close. For all those wondering. The 3.0 has plenty of go for us ballers on budgets.
