It is below 20 degrees again, and I cannot get out of the front doors. Today, I cannot get in or out of the front doors, even thoough the locks appear to operate normally, and the handle moves freely. The car will go back to the dealer tomorrow, maybe for good. I am not crawling out the back any more. This is a safety defect I can't live with, and they have worked on it 3 times already. I have never had problems getting out of any vehicle before.

I love the X5. This is an unfortunate decision, but I do not see any other alternatives to my safety.

Sorry to hear that the problem has returned. Hopefully whatever the solution to your problem will help the rest of us. We still love our X5 but the phase "this is a great car except for." is wearing thin. I hope BMW steps to the plate and recognize this flaw is a true safety issue and take care of you and the car. Best of luck.
