We sued MB about 10 years ago for a lousy 300E that was stolen off the lot, center console ripped out, speedo turned back, of which they didn't inform us, the engine stalling unexpectedly, etc. The lawsuit took almost 5 years, during which the car could not be driven, we had to buy a new car, and MB fought us every inch of the way. Ruling was in our favor, and they appealed every time. Eventually, it was settled to our satisfaction, they took the car back, never admitting guilt and accused us of being "picky" for complaining about all those minor details.

If you can resolve it without having to sue, you should definitely do that. That was the biggest pain to deal with, and we will never buy another MB again.

Looks like Digi has a working relationship with his dealer. Sometimes a good dealership will recongnize that they can't correct a problem and work with the customer and the lemon law. Under other circumstances the dealership can make every step in the process excruciating. The one experience I've seen of someone pursuing the lemon law, looked like a real tough time. It was a dog fight between that person and the dealership.
