It is below 20 degrees again, and I cannot get out of the front doors. Today, I cannot get in or out of the front doors, even thoough the locks appear to operate normally, and the handle moves freely. The car will go back to the dealer tomorrow, maybe for good. I am not crawling out the back any more. This is a safety defect I can't live with, and they have worked on it 3 times already. I have never had problems getting out of any vehicle before.I love the X5. This is an unfortunate decision, but I do not see any other alternatives to my safety.
This should be a concern for BMW, just on the liability issues alone!
I have had my 4.4i X5 since mid Dec. 2000 in Omaha and Colorado, extremely cold temperatures well below 0 in some cases and never had any problems. I hope I don't and that BMW finds the cause.
