I am thinking of buying the CPT 7000 telephone for my X5. Any ideas on how much installed? Is it worth it? Does it come with voice recognition? Is that worth it? Also any info on when the CPT 8000 will be out.

If you travel or live in a rural area you will have to buy the Compensator with the phone system. The system will not work outside of urban or suburban areas without their Compensator. Total cost is approximately $1,500. 8000 is out and, as far as I know, is only different in internet access capability. Only way to tie in to BMW built in capabilities is to buy their phone.
