I remember buying my Jag XK8 when they first came out. I was over 40 and am white. Nobody would help me or let me drive one, and I didn't have the option of going to another dealer because there wasn't one. I swallowed my pride, and told the salesman that I wasn't going to buy one unless I could drive it. He finally let me drive it, and I immediately ordered one. 6 months later, my beauty came in. The dealership and the salesman have been faithful ever since, although it was unfortunate that I had to "establish" myself with them prior to getting good service.
