First: the dealer's store makes good money on service and warranty, so going back to a bad dealer for warranty work is not "punishing" them.

Find a local dealer who treats you as a human being. It really SHOULDN'T be that hard, but its sometimes difficult to find normal people.
My personal recommendation is my dealer, of course, East Bay BMW in Pleasanton, either on the web or in person (see Mike Reichstein). I have over 10 years with him, and he treats people like they are his customers.

at stevens creek bmw in sj. i wanted to buy a X5 today. but none of the sales people would even look my way. i knew this for a fact because they would pass me by to help a older white man looking at the same car. so pissed that such a great car has such poor sales people.
