This picture shows where the flashlight goes. The wiring was behind a dummy plug in my 3.0. I "borrowed" the flashlight and pronged charger connection from my 528i and stuck it in the X5. I may give it back to the 528i, because on the X5 it is almost impossible to insert the darn flashlight back into the socket without kneeling on the ground outside the passenger door. Best idea is to keep a decent big flashlight in the glove compartment.
