Got a recall notice from BMW on my Dec. build X5. Some steering columns were not fuly inserted into coupling which could case loss of steering. Inspection scheduled for Monday. Has anyone actually fond this defect to exist

I checked mine myself and found it to be properly assembled. It is easy to check because you can view the steering universal joint from under the hood.
