Did you buy the X5 without a test drive? If you test drove it didn't you notice the wind noise?
I've test drove a number of X's and have not noticed any appreciable wind noise. I think there must be something not adjusted right. I've only heard a wind noise in mine if I am driving at expressway speeds with a STRONG side wind (at an angle) hitting the X but even that was pretty mild and I am not sure that any other vehicle would not have the same or worst wind noise.
It seems like the X's have individual quirks. My X5 3.0 like to vibrate in idle but everything is perfect.
I would swap my vibration problem for your wind noise ;)
I don't believe it!
Just got my new 4.4. The wind noise level is insane. From the moon roof. From the windshield. From the side windows. What the hell is this all about? This isn't an SAV, it's an SAN: Sadistic Assault on your Nerves. I've read about some wind noise problems on this site, but I never expected anything like this. Anyone want to buy this windmill?? Comes with a free set of BMW logo ear plugs.
