Wow....that dealer is out of his mind. I had my dealer install thge BMW hitch (which is awesome) for $850. I would get the BMW hitch. I've never seen a cleaner install with electrical plug and socket.
Bought a 3.0 X5 for my wife. Dealer wanted $1500 to install a 2 inch tow hitch. We tow a few light items...motor cycle, jet ski, bikes. Is there an after market 2 inch tow hitch which fits behind the neat plastic cover for a reasonable price. I'm handy with tools so I would be the installer. Thanks in advance.
