You did exactly the same as I did. I sold my 2000 RX to get something better and the X5 was my first choice...the two cars in terms of performance etc are far apart. I have been extremely happy with my decision.

How many miles do you have on your X5? I used to get around 17 in mixed driving. Now i get close to 19. I find the torque on the X5 more than sufficient and never have missed the RX except I think the leather was better in the RX.

Apart from that the *X5* is a clear winner.

The standard sound system is ok but the premium sound system lets you tweak the sound and sounds better and the amp is pretty powerful.

No need to change the tires..they do just fine in snow!
