Before the big storm hits, I took the time to try a wheel cleaner that I bought the other week. On Saturday the temperature was warm enough to get the hose out and tackle those nasty looking front wheels. I have tried just about everything, including Griot's (I love their products), P21, and recently I posted here my findings on the Turtle Wax 2-Step package - which I found to be the best so far.

The other week I was at Otto's BMW (West Chester, PA)and the service technican didn't think getting the X5 wheels clean was such a big deal. They use the BMW wheel cleaner in the shop. So, I bought some along with a plastic handled wheel cleaning brush (I don't think the brush is an official BMW product). It works. It works like a charm. It is the best out there. It is fantastic.

For once, I followed instructions, and that meant hosing down the wheels first, letting the liberally applied solution on the wheels for awhile and, then, brushing. This stuff foams and you can just see that dirty dirty, the grimey filth, that sickening vile crap get flushed out of cracks and crevices. It is a beautiful thing.
