Alarm Issues?!?!?! (archive)

I recently came out of a store and the emergency lights were flashing -- the interior button was NOT lit and the familiar clicking sound of the blinkers/flashers was not present. The blinkers did not work.

I figured I had to get to my office and drove it there. After about 1/2 mile the blinkers started working and everything was fine.

There was NO other indication that the alarm had gone off or anything else had malfunctioned...

Does anyone know what this behavior is/why it occurs? Should I take the X to the dealer?
