They are very tough to keep show room black. I'm not sure if the alternative is easier to keep clean. I just completed a 5 hour wax job and I can't get the black exhaust tips to look show room clean. I'm sure no one else notices, but its very distracting to me! Its like the heat bakes the dirt in and corrodes the finish.
