and to spec, it will cost you money. It is true if the the wheels are tightened with way too little torque, they could eventually work lose. and could cause a wheel to come off. If they are over tightened or the lugs are not evenly tightened, it will cost you money in damage to the rotors, etc. The Manual makes sure to point out that if you use the spare, have it retorqued or repplaced at the earliest opportunity. It does matter, even if you make fun of it.
