Judging from what I observed around a round-about in a 3.0 non-sp and a 3.0 sp, the sp-equipped 3.0 would completely annihilate the non-sp. Screw numbers, there is a difference like night and day.

All I have to say is that the sport package on any BMW is well worth it's price. This is not an opinion, it's FACT: The sport package reduces ride comfort by barely a HAIR and elevates handling agility and composure tremendously.

It's FACT? Well, I'm sure the comfort thing is fairly subjective. The difference in handling does seem like a an objective question with a factual answer, but do you actually have FACTS about how much better the handling is with the sports package, or just your subjective opinions from driving both?

I'd still love to see skidpad and slalom numbers from the same source for two identical X5s, one with and one without the sports package, especially 3.0s.
