Where can I get aftermarket running boards for a 3.0?

I called the dealer and was told BMW made some, but for the 4.4 only......Kinda weird right?
I figured if it fits the 4.4 it would fit the 3.0.
I have never seen it physically.

BMW running boards will fit either vehicle - the Aero kit willonly fit 4.4
