Even though I know it's been customary to refer to practically all motor vehicles as females, I tend to think that it's more appropriate to distinguish passenger cars from SUV's (the former being the females and the latter being the males). I think the differences between cars and SUV's (in terms of capabilities, physical aspects, character and personality) parallel the natural differences between men and women. :-)
