I chose the 3.0 over the 4.4 because I did not want to wait months for it. My dealer found a 3.0 "in the system" that had everything that I wanted and more, so I took it. It arrived less than two weeks later and I've been very happy driving it versus waiting, checking the status, etc.

Don't be so quick to generalize.
