I've had a V1 for over a year. The V1 performance is exemplary but I would have to say its directional arrows make it the clear choice over any other radar detector. When these high end detectors detect a radar gun its nearly always beyond your sight range - with no directions its hard to know whether its a gun waiting for you a mile ahead or a police cruiser that's catching up with you a mile behind (or you're catching a cruiser a mile ahead!).

I get an alert - I glance over to the unit and I see a big ol' arrow showing me exactly where the threat is and the range. Awesome. Also when I suspect I know where the threat is it's very reassuring to see the arrows go from AHEAD to SIDE to BEHIND as I pass an unmarked cruiser or a police car coming the other way.

Worth every penny.
