Your dealer is an idiot. We just went through the same thing a few weeks ago with the stalls. The say they fixed it with an upgrade but it stalled again after that. We took it back again and they said there is a "missing link" in the Engine Management system. I have the papers at home so if you need more information then email me. I think the only missing links are BMW Dealer Brains.


My X5 stalls unexpectedly, sometimes when I'm leaving a parking lot and others while I've left a stop sign as I'm proceeding through an intersection. Dealer says idle set too low. Has corrected 2 times, but problem returns after a few hundred miles. Any suggestions? Car is DIFFICULT to steer without power. Help!
