EPROM KI - Gage Error (archive)

Last night when I started my X5, the little OBC display said EPROM KI, and non of the gages except the spedometer worked [I re-started the car thinking it would reset or something, but no]. The car drove fine just didn't display RPMs, fuel, or temp., then in the morning when I started it, everything worked fine. Anyone ever experience this? Reason for alarm? or freak incident?
