X5 Phone problem (archive)

In April the CPT8000 (Motorola) phone became available for the X5, and I had the dealer install one. It communicates with the Navigation system and the voice recognition unit. The problem is: Most of the time (80%?), when somebody calls me, the navigation screen flashes that a call is coming in, and the radio mutes ... but only for about 1/2 second. Then the radio starts playing again, and the screen goes back to normal. But the phone never rings. If I pull the phone out of the "eject box" and open it, it is ringing, and I can answer the call. The portable phone works perfectly when it's portable (out of the vehicle). The dealer replaced the telephone TCU module in the vehicle, but no change. Any suggestions? Has anyone else seen this problem? Does anybody have an X5 with a CPT8000 (Motorola "Timeport") phone that works?
